When a serious accident takes place on someone else’s property, the owner of that property could potentially be held liable for resulting damages. In some cases, a serious personal injury could occur or possibly even a fatality. If such an event does take place, there could be cause for the negatively affected party or surviving family of the victim to file a premises liability claim.

One family may be considering such an option after a recent event in Pennsylvania. Reports stated that a 22-year-old man had to be pulled from a hotel pool by emergency crews. Details on how the event took place were not disclosed in the report. It was stated that emergency crews were called to the scene at approximately 9 p.m. The man had been submerged in the water, and none of the onlookers were able to rescue him.

An officer jumped into the pool after arriving at the scene in order to pull the man from the water. A second officer also joined the attempt upon arrival. CPR was performed on the man, and he was then transported to an area hospital. His condition was unknown at the time of the report. Authorities were continuing to investigate the incident, and the hotel manager did not a give a comment on the incident.

If the man suffers fatal injuries as a result of the incident, his family may wish to consider their personal injury claims options. Because this event took place at a hotel, there could be potential for the hotel company to be considered liable for the situation. Information on filing a premises liability claim in Pennsylvania may help the negatively affected individuals determine whether it could be right for them.
