Legal claims may be warranted after Pennsylvania truck accidents

Hit-and-run accidents can cause many complications. Truck accidents that involve a driver who did not remain on the scene may result in authorities having to take extra steps to locate everyone involved, which could draw out the investigation. It was recently reported that a fatal semi-truck accident recently took place in Pennsylvania.

Reports stated that the incident involved a semi-truck that was traveling and one that was parked on the shoulder of the road. Apparently, the driver of the moving truck was fatigued and may have fallen asleep before sideswiping the parked truck. However, the driver did not stop at the accident scene, and instead, he continued driving to a truck stop to sleep before reporting the incident. Though the man believed the accident to have been minor, he had actually hit the driver of the parked truck who was outside the vehicle at the time.

The driver who was hit suffered fatal injuries in the incident. Police located the man’s body and began searching for the other truck involved. They located the other driver at the truck stop and found bodily fluid on the truck. As a result, that driver is facing charges and was held on a $150,000 cash bail at the time of the report.
