Motorcycle accidents: Pennsylvania man files claim due to injury

When an individual has been seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident, filing a personal injury claim may be an avenue he or she wishes to pursue. A successful claim could allow an individual who has been hurt in car or motorcycle accidents to gain compensation for financial, physical and emotional distress that has resulted from the incident. Therefore, interested parties may wish to find out how to go about working toward their desired outcomes.

One man in Pennsylvania recently took such action after being in a serious accident. Reports stated that the man had been riding a motorcycle when he struck a truck belonging to a highway contractor. The motorcyclist had moved into the passing lane of the roadway and was unable to see the truck ahead due to other vehicles. The truck was off to the side of the road, but it was still partially in the passing lane. The man attempted to avoid the truck but was unsuccessful.

The collision caused the man’s motorcycle to fall and slide with his leg caught underneath. As a result, the man had to have his leg amputated due to the severity of the injuries. He also suffered broken bones and other injuries. He is currently pursuing his legal claim against the contracting company as he believes the company was negligent due to the truck being partially in the roadway.

As this man’s case shows, motorcycle accidents could easily lead to injuries that could change a person’s life forever. Therefore, if other Pennsylvania residents have been injured in such an event, they may also wish to seek compensation. Filing personal injury claims could allow them to work toward restitution for resulting damages.
