Personal injury claims may result after 2-vehicle crash injures 4 in Pennsylvania

Four people were injured in a recent two-vehicle crash that involved two pedestrians. The accident occurred in Guilford Township on a recent Monday in February, Pennsylvania State police said. When a Pennsylvania resident suffers a serious injury in a car accident due to another individual’s negligence, the victim is typically entitled to file a personal injury claim against the at-fault party.

The accident occurred around 4 p.m. in Chambersburg. A sports car driven by a 46-year-old man struck another vehicle that was turning left, according to police said. The force of the collision caused the second vehicle to spin out of control. As it spun, it struck two men walking along the shoulder of the road, police said.

The pedestrians, a 29 and 53-year-old man, were rushed to a trauma center in York. Both men were considered to be in satisfactory condition, a spokeswoman from the hospital said. The driver of the first car was flown to a medical center, while the driver of the second vehicle, a 67-year-old man, was treated and then released at a local hospital, another spokeswoman said.

When a car accident that causes a individual serious injury was the result of a driver’s negligence, the victim is typically entitled to file a personal injury claim for financial relief. When this type of claim is successfully navigated, any restitution paid can be used to help alleviate some of the financial burdens imposed on the victim. Damages typically include medical expenses, lost pay and other documented financial losses. Victims of car accidents typically consult a personal injury attorney to determine the validity of a legal claim and for ongoing support in seeking justice in a Pennsylvania civil court.
