Car accidents: Pennsylvania crash kills 2, injures another
It is likely that the majority of drivers have been in a situation where they are stuck in stand-still traffic due to a car crash. Though this type of predicament may seem like an inconvenience to some, the incidents can be harrowing for those individuals involved or who had loved ones involved in car accidents. Too often, serious crashes result in injuries that leave individuals or their families suffering for some time.
It was recently reported that a serious crash took place in Pennsylvania. Apparently, the incident occurred around 2 p.m. when a driver was traveling east in the westbound lanes of the road. The wrong-way vehicle collided head-on with another car that was heading west. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was reported as being 85 years old, and the other driver was 56.
The incident resulted in both drivers suffering fatal injuries. There was also a passenger in the vehicle that was hit, and that man was taken from the scene to an area hospital. He was considered to be in stable condition at the time of the report. Authorities were continuing to investigate, and it was noted that the roadway was closed for approximately four hours.
Car accidents that result in lost lives are devastating events. This incident is no different, and those who have been negatively affected by the outcomes may wish to consider taking legal action. Wrongful death and personal injury claims could be warranted from the family of the deceased victim and the injured passenger if they wish to seek compensation for damages permitted under Pennsylvania law.
