Motorcycle accidents: Claim may be filed after Pennsylvania crash

Though the risk of being involved in motor vehicle crashes may intimidate some individuals, many travelers often face that risk in order to get to their destinations. Motorcycle accidents can be particularly serious events, often resulting in serious or fatal injuries. Sadly, these outcomes are not uncommon when motorcyclists and other vehicles are involved in collisions.

It was recently reported that a crash in Pennsylvania claimed the life of one individual. Apparently, a 56-year-old man on a motorcycle was traveling north when a vehicle traveling south made a left turn in front of the man. As a result, the man’s motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the SUV. The incident took place at 12:30 p.m. The cause of the accident was reported as being failure to yield on the part of the SUV driver.

The motorcyclist was transported from the scene to an area hospital. He succumbed to injuries suffered in the event, and he was declared deceased at the hospital. The driver of the SUV suffered only minor injuries. Citations relating to the accident were issued, but the incident was still being investigated.

It is all too tragic when motorcycle accidents claim lives of innocent victims. The family of the man killed in this incident will undoubtedly face many struggles in the aftermath. If they would like to seek compensation for allowable damages, they may wish to consider filing a civil claim. A wrongful death claim could allow them to utilize legal channels in order to pursue recompense for damages permitted under Pennsylvania law.
