Car accidents: Serious Pennsylvania crash proves deadly

When traveling on the road, many individuals may witness actions of other drivers that could put innocent lives at risk. These actions could include driving the wrong direction, failing to heed traffic signals or numerous other factors. Unfortunately, any of these actions could cause serious car accidents and leave other drivers and passengers with serious or fatal injuries.

It was recently reported that a fatal crash took place in Pennsylvania. The incident occurred when a 44-year-old man driving a pickup truck began traveling the wrong direction on the interstate. Apparently, he was traveling north in the southbound lanes and collided with a minivan carrying eight individuals. The driver of the pickup was the only occupant. It was not clear why he was driving the wrong way.

The incident resulted in the man and two individuals in the van suffering fatal injuries. The six additional individuals in the van were transported from the scene in order to be treated for undisclosed injuries. Identifying information for the individuals in the van was not given in the report. It was noted that the incident is still under investigation.

Sudden deaths that occur due to car accidents can take a considerable toll on surviving loved ones. As a result, family members affected by this fatal incident may have reason to seek justice and compensation on behalf of their deceased loved ones. Filing wrongful death claims against the estate of the driver considered at fault could allow those family members to work toward restitution for their emotional trauma, funeral expenses and other damages permitted under Pennsylvania law. Additionally, seriously injured survivors may also wish to consider filing personal injury claims of their own.
