Pennsylvania truck accidents: Drivers critically injured in crash

When motorists are traveling the roadway and come across a serious accident, they are likely thankful that they were not involved in it. Though car and truck accidents often cause considerable delays, being late is undoubtedly more appreciated than having an accident. Unfortunately, other drivers may not always react appropriately when approaching slowed or stopped traffic resulting from a previous crash, and as a result, another collision could take place.

A recent accident in Pennsylvania was reported as having occurred under similar circumstances. Apparently, traffic had stopped due to an accident, but an approaching service truck failed to stop in time. As a result, the truck collided with the back of a stopped car, which caused a chain reaction crash. The first car hit a second car, which collided with a van; that van struck the back of a semi-trailer.

The drivers of three vehicles suffered life-threatening injuries and were considered to be in critical condition at the time of the crash. Other individuals suffered minor or no injuries. At the time of the report, the accident was still under investigation.

Truck accidents can often lead to serious injuries, and this incident was no different. If the seriously injured parties wish to do so, filing personal injury claims could allow them to seek compensation for medical bills, pain and suffering and other damages stemming from the crash. Information on how to follow through with such a claim in Pennsylvania could prove useful to the interested parties hoping to seek justice.
