Recent motorcycle accidents: Crash kills one Pennsylvania motorcyclist

Motorcycles afford a great amount of freedom as a means of transportation on Pennsylvania roads. However, that freedom comes with a substantial risk. When motorcycle accidents occur, the injuries the riders suffer unfortunately often border on the catastrophic, if not the fatal.

A recent motorcycle accident has left one man dead, according to the police. It occurred in East Brandywine on a recent Tuesday evening. The two-vehicle accident involved an SUV and a motorcycle.

According to the police, the SUV  was operated by a juvenile who attempted to cross a road to enter a local shopping center, at which point it crashed into a motorcycle. The motorcycle was operated by a 53-year-old man. First responders performed CPR on the motorcyclist, and he was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV did not suffer any injuries.

When individuals in Pennsylvania are killed in motorcycle accidents, their families sometimes choose to file a wrongful death claim. Although this type of civil claim can do little to erase a family’s grief, a successfully presented claim could, nonetheless, provide relief from the financial burdens that are typically associated with a tragic death such as this one. Any compensation derived from a properly litigated claim may be used to cover end of life expenses and related financial losses. A Pennsylvania family who is grieving the loss of a loved one typically consults with an experienced personal injury attorney, who can advocate for their needs during this emotional time as well as assist them with the process of submitting and litigating a claim.
